Delivery

When will my crate arrive?

Local BottleRuns: We deliver every other Friday around Clapham, Balham & Battersea — like the milkman, but with wine.
Neighbourhood Pick-Up: If you’ve chosen a partner café pick-up, your crate will be ready anytime after your order is confirmed. Plus, there’s is a free coffee waiting for you.

CrateClub Members: Your subscription crates are ready the first Wednesday of each month, either on your local BottleRun or at your chosen café pick-up spot.

What if I am not home?

No worries — crates are designed to be dropped safely. Just leave us a
note with any delivery instructions (safe spot, neighbour, etc.).

Can I reshedule?

Yes! Life happens. For CrateClub, you can skip, pause, or change your delivery date anytime in your account. For one-off crates, just let us know before delivery day.

Do you deliver outside Clapham, Balham & Battersea?

Right now, BottleCrate is proudly local. But if you’re further afield, we can ship by courier (crate carefully packed with the same
attention, minus the free coffee ).

How do I get my crate?

We offer two ways both with a goal to keep things human & personal. At checkout you can opt to collect from you local cafe (coffee on us), or join the next bottle run.

CrateClub

How often do I get a crate?

CrateClub runs like clockwork. Your wines are ready the first Wednesday of each month, either delivered on our BottleRun, waiting at your local café, or shipped by courier.

Can I pick the wines?

You set the vibe (reds, whites, mixed, or DIY) and we do the handpicking. Surprises, always with soul.

What if I need to skip a month?

Easy. Pause, skip, or reschedule anytime from your account. Your crate, your rules.

What comes in a crate delivery?

4 or 6 soulful bottles (Everyday or Premium)
Story cards with nicknames + backstories
Surprise extras and seasonal touches
Your crate (recyclable or returnable wooden)

What if I don't like a wine?

We’ll always try to delight. If something misses the mark, tell us — we’ll make it right.

Can I order just once?

Yes! Select 'build a crate' this is the perfect way to try a one off crate or gift a crate.

How do I contact you?

Just drop us an email, DM us on instagram or chat via the website. A real human will reply.

Why not buy from the supermarket?

The supermarket aisle is broken, mass produced and disguised with loose claims on artisan and sustainability. We send soulful wines backed with stories, chosen by people, not algorithms. More personal, more fun, more human.

Billing and Subscriptions

When will I be charged?

On the day you sign up, then monthly or bimonthly the first week of the month.

Can I pause or skip?

Yes, pause, skip or cancel anytime!

Can I cancel?

Absolutely. No contracts. No guilt trips. We just ask that you do so 7 days before you next crate is set to be prepared.

Sustainability

Is your packaging recyclable?

All packaging is fully recyclable, we use far less packaging then other wine services do to our hyper local model.

How do you choose producers?

We only buy from small scale, independent growers who care about craft, land and community.
