The Muse:
In the heart of France lies the region of Burgundy where the sun kissed slopes of the Cote D'or are home to some of the world's finest Chardonnay.
An elegant and complex bouquet that combines the natural aromas of perfectly ripe grapes, nashi pear and green apple with sweet florals of lily, freesia and honey blossom, on a base of of vanilla oak and sandalwood -notes infused into this regions wines from lightly toasted French barriques.

The Wine: Roche de Bellene Bourgogne Chardonnay 2020Nicolas Potel is a highly talented and engaging winemaker who has travelled the world learning his craft. He had a domaine and négociant under his own name but lost control of it to investors. Starting again, but without his own name, the new centure was named Roche de Bellene. Nicolas has access to some of the best Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the region for his Maison Roche de Bellène wines. In recent years these wines have been consistently matching or bettering the critical scores from some of the biggest names in the Côte d’Or. Nicolas has also been steadily acquiring parcels of old vines for his Domaine de Bellène wines, which are all grown using biodynamic methods. Expect ripe fresh orchard fruits, apple, nashi pear, and warm note of sweet spices in this attractive medium bodied burgundy.
