The Story
Château de Plaisance is led by Vanessa Cherruau, one of Anjou’s most respected organic growers. Farming biodynamically on the limestone and schist slopes of the Loire, she focuses entirely on expressing Chenin Blanc with clarity and tension. “Ronceray” comes fromcarefully tended parcels where the vines dig deep into mineral soils. Fermented naturally and aged on fine lees, the wine builds texture without relying on oak or
sweetness. What you get is precision — not polish.
In the glass: quince, green apple, lemon peel and crushed stone, with that unmistakable Chenin grip and a long, saline finish. It’s dry, structured and full of energy — the kind of white that feels alive from first sip to last
