Ondarre sources old-vine Tempranillo from chalky slopes around Viana — vineyards that give Rioja its bright fruit and freshness. The wine rests for years in a mix of American and French oak, then slowly in bottle, until everything mellows into red berries, cedar, tobacco leaf and soft spice.
Winemaker Rubén Magallanes favours elegance over heaviness, creating a Reserva that’s classic but clean-lined. Silky, savoury and gently complex.

Decant for 30 minutes. Pair with roast pork, grilled lamb, mushroom stroganoff, baked aubergine, Manchego or a tapas-style dinner.
