Description

““Orange wine is simply a white wine made likke red. A little bit of skin contact give it’s
structure & and orange hue”.

Grape:Sauvignon Blanc
Country: Chile
Region: Casablanca
Winemaking: Low Intervention, Skin Contact

The Story
Emiliana is one of Chile’s leading organic and biodynamic wineries, farming vineyards with a deep focus on sustainability and minimal intervention. The Animalia range celebrates this philosophy — wines made as naturally as possible to express both grape and place.
This orange wine is produced by fermenting white grapes on their skins, a technique more commonly used for red wines. It’s actually one of the oldest winemaking methods
in the world, now enjoying a revival among natural and low-intervention producers.
The extended skin contact gives the wine its amber colour and a gentle tannic structure, adding texture and complexity.

In the glass: dried orange peel, apricot and tea-like spice, with subtle grip and a savoury finish. Textural, intriguing and a little different — a wine that sits somewhere between white and red.
